MWR Torque / Honing Plate – 2GR-FE 2GR-FSE

Description Compatible with: 2GR-FE ALL 2GR-FSE ALL Fits both banks. Max bore: 97.0mm Monkeywrench Racing strongly recommends the use of a torque plate when boring and honing your block. Most engine blocks, especially aluminum open deck blocks like ours, flex significantly when the head is bolted down. This changes the size and shape of the bores, especially at the top where it is most critical, altering your intended piston to wall gap, your ring gaps, roundness of bore and taper. This is even more dramatic in sleeved blocks. Bottom line, if you want your bores round, straight and correct size you must bore them with a proper torque plate bolted in place. MWR torque plates are precision CNC machined from 2″ thick 6061-T6 aluminum for a perfect simulation of cylinder head clamping forces and stiffness. Stainless steel spacers are included to allow the use of your OEM head bolts or ARP head studs
